The Ministerio de Industria y Turismo, through the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and its craft promotion area, melt you, ha convocado la decimoséptima edición de los Premios Nacionales de Artesanía, con el fin de otorgar un reconocimiento institucional a las actuaciones más destacadas en el campo de la artesanía.
Con esta iniciativa, el Ministerio pretende impulsar el desarrollo y la competitividad de las pequeñas y medianas empresas artesanas e incentivar en ellas la innovación, el diseño y su capacidad de adaptación al mercado. La inscripción de candidaturas estará abierta hasta el próximo 4 de julio a las 23:59 y puede realizarse a través de la web de los Premios.
Los Premios convocados por el Ministerio de Industria, Comercio y Turismo quieren aportar prestigio a este sector, enmarcándolo en un entorno de calidad y excelencia, y reconocer a aquellas empresas que, conservando su esencia de oficio tradicional, destaquen por su creatividad, responsabilidad social y medioambiental, adaptación al mercado y capacidad de innovación. Igualmente, se premia a instituciones y empresas que hayan contribuido de manera significativa a impulsar el trabajo artesano.
El máximo galardón es el National Craft Award al conjunto de una obra consolidada, con una dotación de 7.000 EUR. En la última edición, este galardón recayó en el maestro artesano gallego, Álvaro Martínez Leiro, que destacó por su constante trabajo y compromiso duradero y sólido con la artesanía y la cultura de los oficios, trabajando para preservar conocimientos y técnicas ancestrales en el oficio de la cestería.
Las otras categorías, dotadas con 3.000 EUR, son el Product Award, para aquellos productos o colecciones realizados y comercializados en los dos años anteriores a la convocatoria; el Entrepreneurship Award, que reconoce a la persona o empresa emprendedora que haya destacado por la introducción de nuevos conceptos en el sector, así como su capacidad de aportar soluciones novedosas en los últimos cinco años; y finalmente, el Promote Award en sus dos vertientes, para entidades públicas y para entidades privadas, para instituciones que contribuyan de forma significativa a la promoción y puesta en valor de la artesanía.
La decimosexta edición recibió 66 candidaturas de todo España, destacando Andalucía, Galicia y la Comunidad de Madrid, con más de diez aspirantes cada una de ellas. Los sectores más representados en la edición del año pasado fueron el textil y las fibras vegetales, seguidos del vidrio, la cerámica, la madera y el mármol, piedra y escayola.
