Una exposición que une tradición artesanal y visión contemporánea
Del 27 al 30 de mayo de 2025, Yecla acoge la 63ª edición de la Feria del Mueble, un encuentro de referencia nacional e internacional que apuesta por la innovación, el diseño y las nuevas tendencias del sector.
En este contexto, la Dirección General de Impulso al Comercio, Innovación Empresarial e Industrias y Oficios Artesanales presenta una propuesta singular que pone en valor la colaboración entre la artesanía tradicional y el arte contemporáneo. Se trata de una exposición conjunta entre la empresa artesana Fundirmetal Amando S.L. y el reconocido artista yeclano Lido Rico, que podrá visitarse en el hall de entrada del recinto ferial, un espacio cedido por la propia organización de la Feria de Yecla.
Fundirmetal Amando es una empresa especializada en la fundición artística con una amplia trayectoria en el trabajo con metales como el bronce, el aluminio y el latón. Su labor destaca por mantener vivas las técnicas tradicionales de la escultura en metal, realizando cada fase del proceso —desde el modelado hasta el acabado— de forma completamente artesanal. A lo largo de los años, ha colaborado con artistas de todo el mundo, ayudándoles a convertir sus ideas en obras tangibles y duraderas.
Por su parte, Lido Rico es un artista contemporáneo de proyección internacional, cuya obra se caracteriza por el uso de su propia anatomía como recurso escultórico. Con más de treinta y cinco años de trayectoria, ha realizado más de un centenar de exposiciones individuales en diversas partes del mundo. Su obra forma parte de prestigiosas colecciones públicas y privadas, como las del Museo Reina Sofía, el Instituto Valenciano de Arte Moderno o el Museo Vasco de Arte Contemporáneo.
Esta colaboración entre Fundirmetal Amando Y Lido Rico representa una síntesis perfecta entre pasado y presente, entre lo manual y lo conceptual. Juntos, demuestran que las técnicas ancestrales no solo siguen siendo vigentes, sino que pueden integrarse en discursos artísticos contemporáneos, generando propuestas únicas que enriquecen el panorama cultural actual.
La exposición incluye trece piezas artísticas creadas conjuntamente, acompañadas de material gráfico y textos explicativos que contextualizan el proceso creativo. El objetivo es poner de manifiesto el valor de la artesanía en el siglo XXI, resaltando los puntos de convergencia y las diferencias esenciales entre el oficio artesanal y la expresión artística contemporánea.
Con esta iniciativa, la Región de Murcia reafirma su compromiso con la promoción de la artesanía como parte fundamental de su identidad cultural y motor de innovación creativa.
